All's Quiet

31 October 2014, 01:19

My first Halloween, and all has grown quiet. Mom is sleeping, and I remain safe in my warm, cozy, comfortable abode (did I mention warm?). All efforts to bring me to the outside world seem to have ceased. I hear nothing. It is dark. For now, perhaps I am safe. Perhaps I have won. I shall seize this opportunity to get some sleep myself.

One eye open, of course.

Laying Low

Keeping my movements to a minimum, I am hoping Those on the Outside will forget I am here and leave me alone. However, they remain relentless. Mom's water has been broken, but I remain inside maintaining a firm grip. I shall prevail. They have grown weaker, dad is looking like he's about a "four":

Concerning My Morning

A dreary day. Cloudy, ominous skies and cooling temperatures. Weather notwithstanding, I grow concerned. Those on the Outside are milling about more than normal today; checking my heart rate, putting various needles into mom's arm. Also, I'm pretty sure I just tasted "hospital food". I'm not developed enough to fully understand the significance of these recent events, but I AM developed enough to be suspicious of them (I keep hearing the words "labor", "birth" and other such nonsense). If there is any thought of me vacating my chambers, Those on the Outside are sorely mistaken. They have never before experienced the resistance I am willing to put forth.

Not sure what these things are:

Or what mom is so concerned about:

I must devise a plan before it is too late.
